Production

Sesame seeds are produced by growing the seeds on a small crop. The crop is usually grown in a hot, dry environment because it allows for quick germination and growth. The plants are then allowed to grow for three to four months. After that, the process of harvesting sesame seeds begins with removing the husks from the seed by hand. The husk is then dried, and the seeds are spread out to dry completely. Once they have dried thoroughly, the seeds are sorted, graded, and packaged for shipping to market.

Producers

Sesame seeds are quite popular in countries like Japan, South Africa, India, and many other parts of the world. The leading producers and suppliers of bulk Sesame seeds are Myanmar, India, and Sudan, producing and exporting the highest quantity per year.
