The cranberry plant only survives on a special combination of soil and water found especially in wetlands. The growing season runs from April to November, with the harvest in the fall, usually running from mid-September to mid-November. The berries are then harvested manually or using a machine. And finally, fresh bulk cranberries end up in the market.
