Production

The coconut is a tropical tree, native to South Asia.  It is grown in tropical regions around the world. The farmers will harvest coconuts from these trees when they are mature enough to be harvested by hand or machine. The final step involves removing the husks from each coconut. This process requires specialized tools that are not available commercially yet; so far it has been done manually using knives or machetes!

Producers

The coconut is a fruit of the Cocos nucifera and the only palm tree that can be cultivated on a large commercial scale. And Indonesia is the largest producing country of coconuts, followed by India. The southern part of South Africa is responsible for most of the production in South Africa.
